Chief Quantum Officer
MegaZone CloudDr. Brad Kim is Chief Quantum Officer at MegazoneCloud, where he leads global business and R&D initiatives in quantum cloud services, industrial adoption, and international collaboration. He is a recent recipient of the Nobel Science Award – Outstanding Scientist Award and was recently elected Vice President of the Korea Quantum Industry Association (KQIA).Prior to this, he served as Head of the Quantum AI Center at POSCO Holdings, advancing quantum algorithms for materials discovery and manufacturing optimization. Earlier in his career, Brad was a founding member of LG Electronics’ Quantum Computing Application Team and later chaired the LG Group’s Quantum Computing Working Group. In these roles, he developed group-wide quantum strategy, drove collaborations with IBM and Google, and spearheaded applications in quantum chemistry and AI/ML. Before transitioning to quantum, he built his technical foundation through senior engineering leadership in SoC and AI chip development at Intel and LG.Brad is deeply engaged in advancing the global quantum ecosystem, having served on the board of Korea Quantum Industry Association (KQIA) and currently as a member of Korea’s Quantum Strategy Committee, chaired by the Prime Minister. He is also an invited speaker at major international forums including Q2B, OECD-Korea Forum, and Quantum World Congress.He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and has authored patents and publications spanning quantum computing, AI, and semiconductor design.
